Becky Springer Announces Re‑Election Bid for DeKalb County Treasurer

Becky Springer, DeKalb County Treasurer, is proud to announce her bid for re‑election in the November 2026 general election. Springer was appointed by the DeKalb County Board and officially took office on February 5, 2021. She won her first full term in 2022 and has since served with a focus on transparency,
innovation, and sound fiscal management. “It has been a privilege to serve the people of DeKalb County,” Springer said. “My office has worked hard to modernize services, maximize investment income for local taxing bodies, and make doing business with the Treasurer’s Office more convenient for everyone.” Key Accomplishments During Her Term Include:
● $1,573,267 in interest earned on property tax dollars, which has been distributed to
all taxing districts in DeKalb County.
● $13,169,837 in interest earned on DeKalb County funds through careful investment
and responsible financial stewardship.
● Launch of paperless billing, now used by 970 taxpayers, reducing paper waste and
improving efficiency.
● Implementation of a new online payment platform that now accepts Apple Pay,
Google Pay, PayPal, PayPal Credit, and Venmo, offering greater flexibility and
convenience for taxpayers.
Springer also remains committed to:
● Ensuring timely and accurate distribution of property taxes to schools, cities, fire
departments, and other local services.
● Continuing to improve customer service, including enhancements to the property tax
payments and online tools.
● Promoting government transparency and fiscal responsibility in all aspects of her role.
