The event is Thursday, October 1, at Faranda’s Banquets in DeKalb. Doors open at 6:00 p.m., and the program begins at 7:00 p.m. It’s FREE to attend, and Sponsorships benefit local Scouting through Scouting America Three Fires Council.
This year’s honorees have given so much to our community. Mike Embrey does tremendous work for local Veterans. Members of the McArtor Family have been involved in organizations throughout DeKalb County, from Scouting and local churches to health care and community service. Ellingsworth Webb has served our community through the County Board and many local organizations. The evening will also recognize America 250 Silver Star Honoree SFC Jack Baker, whose return home and funeral brought Veterans and neighbors together to honor him.
