It is part of the DeKalb Public Library’s function to provide access to intellectual and cultural resources of the community. To help fulfill this mission, we will begin to offer the use of a glass display case in the library’s main lobby to local nonprofits! This initiative will start in April.
Nonprofits are encouraged to use this display case to promote services, initiatives, general information, and upcoming events. It may be reserved for one month at a time, no more than twice a year and must be used in accordance with the library’s Public Services policy.
Representatives for the nonprofit are responsible for setting up and taking down their displays and must coordinate a time with library staff to set up their display at the beginning of the designated month and take down their display at the end of the designated month. The library can provide several acrylic stands and holders within the display case. All other materials must be provided by the nonprofit.
For additional information, or to schedule a time to reserve the display case, please contact Samantha Hathaway at samanthah@dkpl.org or at 815-756-9568 ext. 1701.
The DeKalb Public Library is open seven days a week. Visit www.dkpl.org, like us on Facebook, and follow us on Twitter for other library and news events.
