The Collaboration for Equity and Belonging in Behavioral Healthcare Committee of the Mental Health Board is hosting a Town Hall meeting on Monday, November 6, 2023, 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 1201 Twombly Road, DeKalb, IL 60115 and live streamed on the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church Facebook page. This Town Hall is our invitation to the community to learn about last year’s Community Survey results. We had over 850 community members respond to the survey! Community input can drive positive change, and this is our next step to improving access to behavioral healthcare for all DeKalb County, IL, residents. We will share key survey findings and community resources, including information about mental health services, NAMI support groups, and more. We hope to discuss and get feedback on the best ways to move forward. There will be heavy refreshments offered after the presentation. Transportation, child care, and accommodations (such as sign language interpretation, accessible seating, etc.) are available to those who request them by November 1, 2023, by contacting Deanna Cada at 815-899-4960 or dcada@dekalbcounty.org. We will have Spanish-language translation services available.
Join us on November 6, 2023, to help shape the future of behavioral healthcare in DeKalb County. We are excited to share these findings and empower all voices to participate in this Town Hall event. Please pass this information on to all your networks and contacts. I’m available to provide any information or resources that would be helpful.
