Jubilee Hosting Safe Passage Exhibit for SAAM Month

In recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) this April, Safe Passage is proud to present “Sounds of Silence: Finding Their Voice,” a special art exhibition showcasing the powerful and moving creations of survivors of domestic and sexual violence at Jubilee Artisans.

Breaking the Silence Through Art:
“Sounds of Silence” isn’t just an exhibition; it’s a journey into the hearts and minds of survivors. The artwork on display is a powerful testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the strength it takes to find your voice after experiencing trauma. Walking through this exhibit means encountering real people’s personal stories and experiences, clients at Safe Passage who have bravely chosen to share their truth through art.

More Than a Display:
This exhibition isn’t just about artistic expression; it’s about raising awareness about the impact of sexual violence in our community. It’s a call to action, an invitation to stand with survivors and support organizations like Safe Passage that provide critical support and resources.

Opening Reception:
Join us for the opening reception on April 4th, from 5 pm to 7 pm at Jubilee Artisans, 128 E. Lincoln Hwy, DeKalb. It’s an opportunity to meet some artists, learn more about Safe Passage, and engage in meaningful conversations about this important issue. Light refreshments will be served.

Sounds of Silence will be displayed from April 3rd to 30th, 2024 at Jubilee Artisans. We encourage you to visit the exhibit, witness the courage of the survivors, and become a part of the conversation.

Together, we can break the silence and create a future free from sexual violence.
