The Northwest Illinois Bird & Nature Alliance, in partnership with RAMP, invites the community to celebrate Birdability Week with a free, accessible birding event on Sunday, October 26, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Krape Park Community Building, 1799 Park Blvd, Freeport, IL.
This family-friendly event is designed to welcome individuals of all abilities to experience the joy of birding and nature. Activities will include:
• Bird of Prey Meet & Greet with Northern Illinois Raptor Rehab & Education
• Slow Birding & Bird Sit opportunities for a mindful connection to nature
• Arts & Crafts led by Sarah Tapper of Freeport Art Museum (FAM)
Birdability Week highlights the importance of removing barriers so that everyone can enjoy birding. With accessibility at the forefront, this event ensures all community members, including people with disabilities, can take part.
