Rock Valley Credit Union (RVCU), a local and independent financial institution, has opened its fourth branch at 2676 DeKalb Avenue in Sycamore, Illinois. The credit union hosted a grand opening celebration on Tuesday, September 16.
“We’re thrilled to expand into DeKalb County and bring the Rock Valley Credit Union experience to a new community,” said Darlyne Keller, President/CEO of Rock Valley Credit Union. “Our new DeKalb/Sycamore branch, combined with our partnership with NIU, reflects our commitment to helping members and students build strong financial futures. At the heart of it all, our mission is clear: to empower individuals with the tools and education they need to thrive.”
The branch will serve as RVCU’s temporary home in DeKalb County while leadership explores opportunities for a permanent, stand-alone location. Branch hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.–5:30 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m.–12 p.m. To celebrate, RVCU is offering weekly giveaways, a $100 new checking account bonus, and a 3.99% APR auto loan special through October 31st.
RVCU recently received, for the fourth consecutive year, the designation of Best Credit Unions to Work for by American Banker and a 2024 Best Places to Work for in Illinois recognition. In addition, RVCU announced the partnership with Northern Illinois University (NIU) as the official credit union of NIU Athletics in January 2025, providing financial coaching and resources to student athletes.
