The Story of Unitarian Universalist Congregation of DeKalb

158 North 4th St, DeKalb

Our shared experience here at UUCD is a reflection of an idea that was birthed in 1960 about 64 years ago. Our congregation, then a fellowship, was constructed by our founders, a small group who wanted to experience a different kind of religious community.

Rev. Linda Slabon

Minister Emeritus

They held that dream and nurtured it. And, perhaps most importantly, they then acted to build the community that they wanted to see in the world.

Our Minister Reverend Julia Jones

And that dream, that idea continues today. We have grown. We have changed. We have gained people and experiences. We have changed our physical address and even changed our name.
