Two Fun Ways to Learn About Volunteering with CASA

CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) DeKalb County is calling on community members to become Advocates for children from DeKalb County who have experienced abuse or neglect. CASA Advocates are trained volunteers who serve as the voice for children involved in juvenile abuse or neglect court, ensuring their needs are heard and their best interests represented.

No special background is required—just a commitment to making a difference. To learn more, attend an upcoming Volunteer Info Session:

1. Pints and Purpose at Pizza.Beer.Whiskey. (327 W State St, Sycamore)
February 25, 4:30 – 6:30 PM, Open House
Meet current Advocates over light appetizers and a drink on CASA. Focused on recruiting male Advocates, but all are welcome. No RSVP required.

2. Coffee with CASA at Barb City Bagels (118 E Lincoln Hwy, DeKalb)
March 12, 8:00 – 10:00 AM, Open House
Enjoy coffee on CASA and learn how to become an Advocate. No RSVP required.

A current CASA Advocate shares, “Being able to positively impact the lives of children is reason enough [to volunteer]. If you have the time to volunteer, it will enrich your life in so many ways.”
